Hi, I am going on Catalonian coast holiday 6th June. I will be flying from Manchester airport.

This is my first holiday abroad on my own. Love to hear from anyone else going.

Hi Glenis,

I'm not on that trip but I make my first soul trip abroad (well, my first sold trip anywhere) on 1st June, also from Manchester airport, flying to Tuscany.

Just wanted to wish you a good holiday.

Rose

Hi Rose,

Feeling a little apprehensive as this is my first solo trip abroad.  I am sure we will both have an enjoyable time.

Do let me know how you get on.

Happy holiday.

Hi Glenis.

I've just come back from Catalonian Coast, and posted my review this morning, although I am still waiting for it to be moderated.

The hotel is great, somewhat built up round it, but the staff are all really friendly, the food is good, and the place is spotlessly clean.  I would recommend taking your own toiletries though, but the hairdryer is very good.  You do have a small fridge in your room which you can use free of charge for storing water etc.  No tea/coffee making facilities.  If you  feel that you need to use the room safe you will have to pay for it.

The trips I managed to do were all good.  Montserrat on the first full day is a dream place.  I just hope that you get better weather than we did for there.  Girona also comes highly recommended but do take sensible footwear as some of the walking areas are a bit rough.  The Coastline trip is also nice, Tossa del Mar is lovely with some great eating places.

I am happy to answer any more questions you may have.

Than you for your comments on my forthcoming holiday. I found them very useful.

Did you go to Barcelona? I have heard it is quite a long day.

I've contacted you before as I am on the same holiday. Contacted JY and they have confirmed that 5 people are going from Manchester and I should look on the community  page. So far just  2 of us. If I don't  see  you at checkin I'll meet you in front of the information desk when we've passed through.

Hi Glenis.

Because of my injury I did not go to Barcelona.  Reports were that it was a busy full on trip, and yes quite a long day.  Lots to see, and very crowded.
