I think the message I thought I had sent must have gone awol as others have been posted that were written later than mine. Hope I didn't add it on to another thread that I was looking at by mistake.

I am thinking of going on this cruise in April. Has anyone else been on this cruise before and if so did they do all the optional excursions? Did you also have a choice of packages and which did you take? I did the Budapest - Strasbourg cruise and was glad I had booked the optional package as quite often the ship moved on or we were at a distance from the town or village.

Thank you for any information you can give me.

Hello Rae,

I booked this holiday a couple of days ago and was told that 10 JustYou travellers were already booked 😉  .

I have been looking at the optional excursions and plan to book the package (that includes Honfleur and Alabaster Coast).

Hope to meet you in April.

Hello Lesley,

Nice to hear from you.

I am now booked on this holiday. Just got off the phone when I realised that I'd forgotten to book the excursion package! I'm blaming the stuffy cold I've got.

When I phoned JY earlier in the week I think they said that the maximum group size would be 19. That is a good number.

Next thing to do is book the rail travel from Scotland.

See you at St Pancras.

I know that not everyone who books JY holidays uses the forum but wondered if anyone else looking has booked this particular holiday?

Lesley, I've booked the D-day tour group of excursions as missed them the last time I was in that area of France.

Hi Rae,

Only four weeks to go and I'm getting excited! I have already started to think about what to take with me. I wonder if Julia or someone at JY could confirm that the MS Seine Princess provide hair dryers in the cabins. I like to travel as light as possible!

I look forward to meeting up with you Rae, and other members of our group, at St Pancras in a few short weeks :)

Hello Lesley,

I hadn't  realised that it is only 4 weeks to go. That's  so good. It seems ages  since I booked it.

According to the ships own website all cabins have hair dryers.

See you at St Pancras. If you would like to meet up in the concourse before going through into departures I am happy for the  Moderator to  pass on my email address.

Thank you for the information Rea. The less I have to pack the better! Yes, it would be nice to meet up before going through to departures and would be happy to swap email addresses to arrange time etc.

Hello Rae,

I haven’t received your email address yet, but final instructions have just arrived in the post. Yay!

When I went to Paris with JY in 2015 most people checked in with the tour guide and waited with him before going through to departures in small groups.

I thought I would arrive about an hour earlier (the time our guide arrives) and wait around there for you and others of our group. This will leave time for a coffee (and look out for other JY luggage labels) in departures before boarding the train.

How does that sound to you?

Apart from the few days in Paris with JY I know little of France and I'm looking forward to discovering more the country.

See you on the 20th!

Hello Everyone,

St Pancras is an amazing place to sit and people watch. Both times that I have been there, I have had breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien. There is also the Champagne Bar upstairs which is a bit too early for me  Most people buy their lunch at either M&S or Boots if they are not traveling First Class. Do not forget to say hello to the big statue of Sir John Betjeman. Lots of little shops which I browse on my way through then shop on the way home to save carrying 😉

Thank you for the tips Jan. The first time I travelled from St Pancras I went into a panic as, hunt as I did, I couldn't find any trains! A kindly gentleman pointed me in the right direction, but perhaps a visit to the champagne bar might have calmed me down!

Thanks Lesley. Will see you at check in along with others. I am staying  nearby so will probably wander round earlier for a coffee and browse. Many years ago I was in the Honfleur area but didn't  visit any of the other places we are going to. Last year I went on the JY Bordeaux  holiday which was good.

Thanks Jan for the tip about lunch.

I hope I haven't sent this twice as my first message vanished for reasons unknown to me!
