I did this holiday in September 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed it. I think I wrotea review when I got back and I know there have been several other reviews or comments by later travellers. If you go into "Search" and then enter "Apulia" or "Puglia" it will bring up everything that has been written.
The one thing I can't stress enough is the need for good footwear with a grippy sole rather than ordinary summer sandals or flipflops because the streets of the old towns and villages are paved with slabs and cobbles which can be slippy even in dry weather, in moisture of any kind they can become like skating rinks. Matera where the sassi are is one place I particularly remember.
