Hi, I've just received the latest JY Autumn Collection and am interested in the cruises, in particular Shores of Arabia and India. I appreciate that this doesn't have a JY rep on board, which doesn't worry me, but I'm interested to know if such hols attract many other single travellers booking via JY. I don't really want to be the only one!

Hi Janet in Chi,

Cruises seem to be very popular with Just You customers, and single travellers in general.

I have been made aware that there are over 30 single occupancy cabins sold on this particular cruise and I understand about a third of those bookings have come in since the Autumn Collection was received by Just You customers.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Thanks Julia. That's good to know.

Hi

Have just come back from  Voyages of Discovery cruise to the Azores and Madeira. Had a really good time and there are lots of opportunities for single people to get together  organised by entertainment team, even without a Jy rep on board.  I would say there were 30+ singles on board. Most people on cruise were really friendly even if they were in couples. Just one note of caution, there were a lot of very elderly people on my cruise, some of whom had limited mobility and other health issues which slowed down shore excursions. This may have been because it was a cruise from the UK though.

Regards

Heather

Hi Janet in Chi,

My wife and I have done this cruise on Voyager, it will be three years ago this coming December.

We have sailed on Voyager three times since.

This really is a wonderful itinerary. There were 70+ single travellers when we did this cruise.

Some were, JY, some direct with VOD, it doesn't really matter as VOD organise special functions for singles to get together.

With low or NO single supplements there are always many single travellers onboard Voyager.

On our last cruise there were well over 100 single travellers.

As a couple we socialised with single travellers and other couples, many single travellers soon team up with others in any case.

The great majority of passengers will be aged 55+, some will be considerably older.

They are well travelled, usually retired but extremely active interesting friendly people, great cruise mates.

If you require any information ( particularly as I have done this itinerary) I'd be happy to assist.

I highly recommend this itinerary, we have very wonderful memories of this cruise.
