Anyone else in the Forum going to Chile, Argentina and Brazil in February? I am getting excited now the time is getting nearer after hearing fantastic reports about this trip from folks I have met on other trips. Anyone else staying on for the Rio Carnival Winners' Parade? There is another post that suggests that we may be a select few??

look forward to meeting you all, in the New Year!

Hi MaryDee,

I'm sadly not on this tour but I did it with Travelsphere in 2012 (minus the Carnival) and had an amazing time - one of my favourite holidays ever! You will see so many fantastic sights and it is one highlight after another - the carnival should be the icing on the cake! I hope you have a wonderful time and please do write a review when you get back as I'd love to hear what you thought of it.

Best wishes,

Bob

Hi,

I am thinking to book in 2016 and would like to know, which month will be ideal. I have made two tours with JY and both were in the month of May. In 2014 the National Parks of USA and in 2015 Inspiration China and had enjoyed the tours and the company of all who travelled, thanks.

Drew.

Only three weeks to go. Awaiting final travel documents and wondering what clothes to pack. Any tips on temperature changes on this itinerary?

Hello Bob,

I am going on this tour in March. I have two questions: do i really need mosquito jabs? Secondly, I know to take low-denomination dollars, but how much do I need to take?

Hi David

There are no mosquito jabs that I know of. People usually have to take medication, for e.g. malarone or similar.

I have not been on this trip, but it is not easy to say how much money you should take as it all depends on the individual. If I were you, I would budget for non included meals, usually lunch, drinks and any souvenirs you want to bring back. I personally take more than what I think I will need and this way you never run short. Have a good trip.

Hi David, you need to check with your GP/practice nurse regarding jabs and malaria pills as the criteria change from time to time and it also depends on what jabs you've had previously - I've been travelling a lot over the last few years so I'm pretty much innoculated against everything! I didn't need to take malarone for protection against malaria on this tour, but I went in Sept (end of winter) so it might be a different situation in March (beginning of autumn).

When lunches and dinners aren't included I usually budget for around £40/$50 per day and I usually have a good bit of money left over - depends on whether you like a few drinks/big meals etc! It was easy to change money on this tour and the tour manager will help with organizing this. Don't forget to tell your bank where you're going beforehand so you can use your credit card without problems!

Have a great time,

Bob
