Hi, Is there anyone out there going on this tour and flying from London City Airport? ( or maybe all are travelling from there ) I am a newbie to Just You and this will also be my first time out of London City so am a little apprehensive and hoping that there is someone out there (apart of course from our tour manager) with any previous experience. As already said, am a little apprehensive but still very much looking forward to the trip, seeing the places and very much of course look forward to meeting the people! Very Hopefully, JustMike

Hi mate. I'm on that tour too. Really looking forward to it. I've not flown from London City before either. I've been on a Christmas break before in Malta with another tour company and it was fun even though I fell ill at the time. I know that part of Spain fairly well having had a timeshare there many years ago. Don't think the weather will be brilliant but I could be wrong. Mark.

Hi Mark, thanks for replying, good to hear from a fellow traveller. I am hoping that the temperature will be reasonable but, of course, nothing can be guaranteed. So, flying from London City will, at least, be a new experience for the both of us. Very much look forward to meeting you. Mike.

Hey Mags, thanks for your reply. It seems that maybe not too many people have ventured through London City Airport previously, so hopefully it will be a pleasant experience for all of us as indeed will the whole trip. Very much look forward to meeting you and yes, see you at the airport! Mike .

I've never flown out of City airport, but I flew back into it last year after a trip to Florence. As you'd expect, very modern, the DLR station is easy to find in the terminal and easy connections back to the "proper" tube. I changed at Canning Town and was back at Paddington in around 40 minutes, my brother changed at bank and was at Kings cross about the same time.

On the approach, we got a VERY close view of the shard, not sure it was supposed to be that close - I had visions of the undercarriage clipping the building for a few seconds!!

Hello Mike and all for Andalucia,

City airport is new to me but I understand it is compact and easy to use with the car park within a 5 min walk.

New to mainland Spain too. So looking forward to exploring with the various excursions but time to relax with some warm sunshine. Just don't mention Christmas, bah humbug!

Heheh.. I'm just leaving my kids to do their own thing this year with their little ones and I'm off to eat nice food, drink nice wine and see a part of Spain that I've been to before but never have really explored.. Looking forward to seeing the Alhambra... Nice to meet you folks.. Am sure we'll have a great time 🙂

Hi all

I did this holiday last Christmas and it was magical. The weather was actually very good, warm and sunny but do pack a fleece as Mijas is quite high up and when the wind blows it can be a bit chilly. Also Ronda can be cool but we found a delightful café overlooking the gorge which was sheltered and hot!!

Hello everyone. I am coming on this trip too.

I am new to Just You, haven't flown from City Airport and have never been to the area before. I am though really looking forward to the entire trip and visiting lots of new places and of course meeting everyone.

Now it's December I am getting even more excited.

Just to say I'll be in the departure lounge (past security) from about 11am onwards having a coffee in Rhubarb and maybe a bite to eat. I'll be carrying a cabin bag with "Malta" written on it. If anyone cares to join me then please feel free.
