I have not been on this tour but I went to Tuscany a few years ago either March or may I think and it was extremely HOT, the only time I have taken the wrong clothes!!..try and type into Google average weather for that region per year should give you a rough idea. Have a great time.

Hi Wanny

I did this tour last year in October and it is a brilliant trip. When we arrived in Lido de Jesolo we all decided to head to the beach. If you walk along the beach you arrive at a lighthouse. It was a good way to spend the first day while waiting to meet all of the other travelers. There is a good kareoke bar just up the road from the hotel that serve drinks buy one, get one free up to 9pm!!. I can't comment on the weather in May as it was Oct when i went but it was still really hot. Venice is lovely and the gondola ride is worth doing (we paid 25 euros each and there was 5 or 6 per boat). Florence was crazy. It was very, very busy. You probably won't have time to do the Ufizzi gallery as the queues were so long. We did manage to go into one of the other galleries though and we saw 'The David'. Take plenty of money when you go to Rome as there is alot to see but you have to pay to get in everywhere you go. I spent £500 in a week and we were half board. The hotel in Rome only has seating on the roof of the hotel that is large enough for everyone and the only bar is on the ground floor so stock up on drinks!!. The hotel in Rome is shabby but this didn't ruin the trip. The staff were friendly. If you have a late flight home you will be unable to use a room at the hotel in Rome after you check out. They did let us use the downstairs toilet though, which is fairly large. Orvietto is a lovely place and Bologne is also worth a visit. We decided to climb the bell tower in Bologne. Beware if you do this as the stairs are wooden, steep and very rickety. I was terrified, but it was worth it to see the view from the top. I think your trip is slightly different to the one i went on as we stayed for 3 nights in Montecatini Terme and stopped at the leaning tower of Pisa. I think these have been removed from next years itinery, which is a real shame in my opinion as Montecatini Terme was the nicest place we stayed in and was a real highlight of the trip for me and i loved Pisa. You will have an amazing trip. there are plenty of steps to climb!!.

If you have any questions, just ask.

Have a good time, Alison x

Sturdy shoes are a must. Some of the public toilets are an experience in themselves. There is one in Florence inside a little sandwich shop just up the road from the Uffizzi gallery on the corner. You go in through a door that looks like a cupboard and is waist high. You then go down stone steps, along a corridor and the toilet is at the end. You have to put your foot on a pedal to get the water out of the sink. Word soon got around and our entire group went to use that toilet just to see what all the fuss was about!!. There will be plenty of pizza to eat!!.
