I went to Cilento Coast in the middle of September last year and it was scorching all but one day (the last day) when it poured it down for the morning and then brightened up in the afternoon again. Typical Mediteranean weather in my opinion. Best idea is to look at average temperature and sunlight hours online.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I have checked averages online, but I guess it's just a matter of luck in most places in Europe really. Thanks, Hilary
