HI ALL

LAST YEAR I WENT ON THE CANADIAN TRIP AND MET A LOVELY LADY ABOUT MY OWN AGE, IN THEIR 60'S WHO SEEMED TO BE A BIT ON HER OWN. I ASKED IF I COULD

SIT NEXT TO HER ON THE COACH AND WE REALLY HIT

IT OFF. IT WOULD BE GREAT IF THIS HAPPENED AGAIN

AS I AM NOT MUCH GOOD ON MY OWN, I HATE THE IDEA

OF GETTING LOST, BUT THERE AGAIN I DONT LIKE A LOT

OF PEOPLE AROUND AS I AM QUITE SHY. IT WORKED

REALLY WELL AND WE SPENT THE REST OF THE HOLIDAY

GOING ROUND TOGETHER AS WE HAD THE SAME INTERESTS.

I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW IF ANYONE IS FEELING THE SAME

AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW SOMEONE BEFORE GOING TO

FIND OUT THEIR INTERESTS AND WHAT THEY DONT LIKE WHICH IS JUST AS IMPORTANT.

THANKS SUE SOUTHAMPTON

Hello Sue how are you?

I am glad I read your message I feel we have a lot in common.

I am also in y 60:s and for sometime I have been wanting to book my first J Y holiday but haven't found the courage with doing so.

Have you booked your holiday?

Look forward to your reply.

Thank you

Angel from Norfolk.

Hi Sue

I have been on 7 Just You holidays and have enjoyed meeting people of all ages and experiences. I personally think that if you just 'stick' with one person then you are missing out on a lot. It is nice to try and mix with everyone. Of course, this is my personal opinion and I do appreciate that everyone thinks differently.

Regards

Jaya

I have to agree with Jaya. I know from experience that, however shy you are, you can find people to talk to on a JY holiday and you don't need to be "joined at the hip" to enjoy the holiday. If you are trying to get to know someone before you go away you should remember that the person you think you are "meeting" over the internet may be completely different if and when you see them face to face. The holiday in St Lucia seems, from the brochure, to be a beach holiday - what happens if the person you "meet" before you go away turns out to be not what you were expecting (and vice versa)?

DEAR ANGEL

ITS A NEW HOLIDAY FOR NEXT YEAR SO DONT KNOW WHAT

OTHERS THINK BUT IT SOUNDS REALLY GOOD. PLENTY OF

INTERESTING THINGS TO DO. I REALLY WANT TO SEE THE

WHALES AMONST OTHER THINGS. ITS GREAT GOING WHEN

YOU KNOW SOMEONE AS ITS GOOD WALKING AROUND TOGETHER. I MET SOMEONE I REALLY GOT ON WITH WHEN

I WENT ON THE CANADIAN TRIP LAST YEAR AND WE SPENT

A LOT OF TIME JUST THE TWO OF US LOOKING AT DIFFERENT

PLACES. OF COURSE WE WENT WITH OTHERS BUT ITS GREAT

HAVING THAT SPECIAL FRIENDSHIP. I AM STAYING AT THE

BEACH HOTEL NOT THE ONE INLAND AS I LOVE SEEING THE

SEA FROM THE WINDOWS. AT THE MOMENT THERE ARE ONLY

2 PEOPLE BOOKED ON IT WITH A MAXIMUM OF 20 SO SHOULD

BE GOOD. IF YOU WANT TO EXCHANGE EMAIL ADDRESSES SO

WE CAN TALK MORE JUST ASK THE EDITOR AND THEY WILL

GIVE YOU MY ADDRESS AND WE CAN CHAT IF YOU ARE INTERESTED. I HOPE YOU ARE AS IT WOULD BE GOOD AS ITS

YOUR 1ST TRIP AND MY THIRD. I AM NOT A BEACH PERSON

BUT I LIKE WALKING ALONG IT AND SEEING THE SEA AND BOATS. LOOK FORWARD TO EXCHANGING EMAIL ADDRESSES.

BYE FOR NOW SUE SOUTHAMPTON

I DO JOIN IN WITH OTHERS BUT I ALSO LIKE THE CLOSE

FRIENDSHIP WITH ONE PERSON, IT WORKS REALLY WELL

WHEN YOU WANT TO GO AND SEE SOMETHING QUIETLY

FOR A REST FROM THE EXCURSIONS.

I HAVE PUT THAT I AM NOT A BEACH PERSON BUT I LOVE

WALKING ALONG IT AND WATCHING THE SEA AND SOMETIMES

SWIMMING. I THINK ITS GOOD TO HAVE BOTH TIMES WITH ALL

AND OTHER TIMES WHEN YOU WANT TO DO SOMETHING

DIFFERENT JUST TO HAVE ONE PERSON, AS I DID IN CANADA

TO GO AROUND WITH. I HAVE SAID TO THE PERSON INTERESTED IN TALKING TO ME THAT I WOULD GIVE MY

EMAIL ADDRESS SO WE CAN FIND OUT MORE ABOUT EACH

OTHER, SO THAT IT SHOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM. IT DOES

NOT MATTER IF IT DOES NOT WORK AS THERE ARE ALWAYS

OTHERS TO GO AROUND WITH. IN FACT THERE ARE ONLY

2 BOOKED SO FAR ANYWAY WITH A MAX/ OF 20 SO WE SHOULD ALL MIX ANYWAY.
