Hi, I'm new here 🙂

I've been looking at these holidays for a while and I've finally got a little bit closer to deciding! (They look so good, I think I'd go on most of them if I could!)

I think it's between sorrento and Tuscany. I'd hopefully be going in September. I just wondered whether anyone has been on these trips and could give any feedback that would help?

(In case it influences anything - I'm after a relaxing trip but with some fun activities/ things to see as well. I'm 25 and would be happy to mix with everyone, and it sounds like there's a whole age range that go, but would be nice to not be the odd one out)

Also is there the possibility of doing one after the other, as I'd already be in Italy?

I'm sorry if that's a bit vague

Hello Sophie..great name BTW my granddaughter is called Sophie

I can only offer help regardingTuscany I went on this tour a few years ago, have a look in the review section if you type in Highlights of Tuscany I am sure you will find many reviews from people, this is a very popular tour, it's not to hectic, I am not sure what the weather would be like in September I went spring time and it was HOT!, there's a nice village near by, and the trips out are worth doing I did not do the boat trip as I am not a lover of water. Hotel right by the beach. I am not sure what your idea of fun activities are? Most evening were spent hotel based there is a nice veranda to have one or two or more drinks sitting watching the world go by, when you have an idea of which date your going for ask Julia on the editors board if she can give you some information IE age range tour group size, male / female ratio that might help you make your mind up..

As for doing one tour after another I think you would need to speak to the Girls/Boys in the office who are very helpful I am sure they can point you in the right direction with that question.

I hope someone can give you information regarding Sorrento, Good Luck

Hi Cindy, thank you so much for your reply.

I think by the sound of it Tuscany just sways it for me. Thank you, it sounds lovely! The departure is a bit more practical for me or and it's nice that there will be a few other 20s.

I know a little bit about Pisa and Florence, but otherwise I'm quite happy to go with the flow and experience new places. I'm keen to see historical sites, nature (especially beaches!). Do you get to visit any of the less heaving, unspoilt areas of Italy?

Thanks again!

Hello Sophie and welcome 🙂

I booked last month for the Tuscany tour on 11 September; this will be my first holiday with Just You. Like you, I was torn between Tuscany and Sorrento, as I know several people who have been to Sorrento and I had planned to go there a few years ago but the reviews for Tuscany on here are so good that I settled on that as my first trip. I'll be interested to read the feedback you receive on Sorrento, as I that is a place I definitely want to visit.

As Cindy says, Julia will provide ratios of ages etc. if you ask; someone has already asked this question regarding Tuscany in September and this is on the Ask your Editor board with the thread title 'Tuscany September/October'. (My trip is listed as the youngest being mid-40s but I have only just turned 43!)

Let us know what you decide 🙂

As you are visiting tourist sights there will be many people around, but we did also see manyof the Tuscany views and visited some place that were defo less heaving.

You must try the Italian ice cream at least once a day it's fantastic. I did not do the boat trip over to Elba as I am not a lover of the sea, but those that did enjoyed it, I stayed behind and spent a few hours on the roof terrace, visiting the church in the local town and just enjoying the surrounding area.. The town is a stroll away and great for stocking up in drinks and nibbles for the coach journeys etc. There are woods the other side if the hotel some people went walking or hired bikes. It really is situated in a very nice spot the hotel, staff are so nice and friendly and the last meal the group have together is special they do make you so welcome ..Enjoy!!

Hi Sharon,

I've also booked my first JY holiday to Tuscany leaving Sept 11. I haven't yet booked any optional excursions but must make a decision soon. Look forward to meeting you!

Hello Jean,

I have only just seen your reply and have started a new thread asking for fellow travellers. Vinuala and Nelliecat are also with us on the trip. Are you flying from Manchester or Gatwick? I am in the North so am flying from Manchester.

Look forward to meeting you :)

Hi Sharon,

I'm in Scotland so travelling down to Manchester. Been trying to book both excursions this morning, but the phones are very busy just now. My theory being, I might as well see everything whilst I'm there, in case I never get back. There's a lot of world to see out there! Hopefully will see you at the airport somewhere.
