Hi Susie,

Its a new tour for JY so nobody as done it yet, Although I'm from up north I'm going from Heathrow on 3rd Nov because the date suis me. I'll be driving to Heathrow but know of others flying down from Manchester on a connecting flight which JY have arranged for them.

It'll be a great holiday, all good cities.

Hi I am booked on this Tour for 20th October, which attracted me as it does go direct from Manchester, a bit of a bind changing at Heathrow. There are not a great deal JY holidays to fly direct from Manchester, so this is great for me,on this holiday, as I do not wish to go through Heathrow if it can be avoided, other customers will be I am sure in the same frame of mind, I am sure JY will give us the best possible holiday experience which ever week we go.

For those interested and travelling from Heathrow and staying over I've just got a 4 star hotel night before plus 12 nights parking for £71.

I know its a long way off (November 3rd) but think its a good idea to book now as I doubt will be able to get it any cheaper.

Hi,

Am booked for Chicago - New Orleans leaving 19th May 2014. Cant see any posts from fellow travellers on this trip. This is my first time to travel with Just You so somewhat uneasy. To date have spent holidays with friends/family since my husband died 8 years ago. I'm coming from Dublin on the morning of 19th. Anyone out there taking this trip?

Hi Liznew,

Sadly not all of our customers don't use the Just You community, but keep an eye out - if one of our members is on your trip and sees your post, they may make contact. The 19th May date is fully booked with 40 of you travelling across the pond.

I hope you have a wonderful trip.

Kindest regards,

Julia

I am on the November 3rd trip and I know you will have a great time. I have been to New Orleans and Memphis, love both cities for their music and sites. The Jazz cruise was amazing, great food and the band could be heard all over the paddle steamer. We were on the lowest deck next to the water line open to the engine room dancing. Great electrical storm courtesy of Hurricane Ike, sheltered by the deck above.

Have a great time and let us know how it all went

The Jazz cruise in new Orleans is wonderful. Fond memories of listening to the music all over the ship except in the engine room where it was too noisy

No, but I've visited both these cities on a private holiday and loved them. If you like Jazz and a laid back lifestyle you'll love N'awlins (but be prepared for very late nights), and Chicago offers both jazz and good theatre in abundance plus perhaps, a 'safer' environment. New Orleans is very unsafe outside the French Quarter. Take an umbrella also, it can rain heavily.
