Welcome to you

WOW what an adventure you have ahead of you, there is a big beautiful world OUT there for you to discover...

I suggest you have a good look at what the tour is, if there is one you like the look of, pick the people who post on here brains and see what they thought about the tour.

The tours work out very good value for money for what you see and do, and there are many styles of holiday to choose from from a weekend break to Australia and all in between.

Great bunch of people travel on these tours and there are many LAUGHS along the way, there can also be tears, as sometimes it brings back happy memories or dreams that they had with there no longer partner, but they can be Happy tears as well.

You can do things you never thought you would do, I have been on helicopter flights and jet boat etc....

So amazing sights to see and nice people to meet along the way.

GO FOR IT and book a tour is all I can suggest.

Hello and welcome to JY!

I thoroughly concur with Cindy's comments. Please, please take the plunge, you won't regret it.

I've met lots of lovely people on my JY holidays and still keep in touch with several of them.

Just decide where you would REALLY like to go, look on the Community website for comments on that trip. You will find travellers of various ages and background. Your Tour Manager is there to help you with any problems, queries, you may have and you will be well looked after from the time you check in outbound until you arrive back home.

Take the plunge and GO FOR IT.

Good luck.

Denise

I know how you feel as I'm the same - same age and been alone a long long time. I have been abroad before, altho going alone seems different, but I have just booked my first holiday with JustYou and go to Italy in 2 weeks. Getting very excited.

Be like me - just book.

Everyone on this forum seems so nice and if the ones on my trip are the same it will be wonderful.

Which tour in Italy are you booked for? I'm on the Tuscany tour departing Manchester.

I lost my husband in September 2011 and took my first trip with Just You in October 2011, when I went to Turkey. I was very apprehensive before I went, even crying on the phone to my son the night before. I found everyone very friendly and had a fantastic time. This September I am going to China. I have never done a long haul before and am quite nervous but I enjoyed myself when I went before so am looking forward to it.

Hello and welcome

I would say just pick a destination you always wanted to visit and go ahead and book it. You will have no regrets at all. As Cindy says, there is a big wide world out there for you to explore. My first holiday with Just You was to Jordan. I picked Jordan as I always wanted to see Petra and since then I have had 3 more holidays with Just You. You meet people of all ages, everyone is friendly and has a good time. You are also looked after very well, most meals and excursions are included and you get a nice room all to yourself.

Go on, life is too short. Stop thinking and book something.

Regards

Jaya
