Hi, im new to this site & very interested in taking a singles holiday to a European destination. I have recently been made single so i always had a partner to travel with so find it a bit scary to travel on my own at the moment, i am in my late 30's and would like to know typically how many people aged between 30 and 40 travel on just you holidays. I know its probably a silly question as it depends on who books what holiday but would just like to know if there would be at least a couple of people in my own age group.

Thanks

Hi

This is a hard question to answer, as it varies form holiday to holiday, but you would clearly be one of the youngest, if not the youngest.

In my experience, there are usually a couple of people around the 35/40 age group (or younger), possibly more. The majority of JY customers are in the 55/75 age range, with around 70% being women. There are a number of threads on this topic, and if you look back you'll find them pretty easily.

Having said all of this, age is simply a number, and I've met some very "young" people in their 70's or 80's and some very "old" people in their 30's.

If there are a couple of holidays you're interested in Ben can let you know the number of people say under 40 already booked, which might be of help.

Good luck.

Hello and welcome to you

There are many postings on here regarding the AGE question it is also covered under the FAQ as well.

Ok here goes ..you would be in the younger age range. I would say the core age is 50-70 with younger and older either side...

Why don't you ring the girls in the office and if you have a holiday in mind they would be able to say how many are booked and the age range, or post in the editors board and Ben will help you out I am sure.

Can I just say the age range in NEVER a problem I have my 9th tour booked I am now 54 and have been travelling with JY since I was 48.

I hope you give JY a go, there are fantastic holidays to choose from and a great adventure to be had. If I can gel with anything else just ask away and I will try and answer you.

Thank you for your advice and taking the time to reply, i think i am probably interested at the moment in holiday like this for the wrong reasons as i am probably hoping to try and meet someone again and it should just be about the holiday. Thanks for your advice and maybe i will still consider booking something with just you in the future as i can see from this forum that it seems to be a very friendly a safe way of having a holiday.

Thanks

Hi MrC

If your main interest at the moment is in meeting someone, then probably you are in the wrong place though one can never be sure who you will meet. Just You is for travellers who choose to travel on their own - not everyone is single, some have husbands, partners etc, but their other half may not be interested in travelling or can't travel for some reason or the other. Just You holidays are great as you meet lots of interesting people of all ages and if you are looking to just have a wonderful holiday, then I would recommend you try one with Just You.

All the best

Jaya

Good question. Don`t worry, it`s just a number. I went to Andalucia last year and the ages in our group ranged from 30 to about 85 - everyone had a great time.
