After a lot of deliberation I think (ha ha), that I have settled on the Treasures of Tuscany trip for next May.

I do though have a question for those that have been, and it may seem a bit strange. I suffer from an arthritic spine, which does not normally impede too much on my walking except in cold, damp weather, and during high humidity. In humid conditions my ankles swell and I have difficulty walking.

I have read in one of the old posts somewhere that weather conditions can be rather humid on the coast in Tuscany, and wondered if anyone who has been has encountered this? I've not had problems anywhere else in Italy apart from Sicily where I was literally stuck in the hotel for 2 days because I could not walk. If I book this trip there is so much that I want to see I would hate to miss out because of my stupid back.

So strange question I guess but I would welcome some feedback.

Thanks

Hi there

I went to Tuscany in May 2011 and it was HOT!!! Much hotter than I thought it would be so had the wrong wardrobe with me!!!! I do not remember it being overly humid, just hot..I suffer with arthritis in my feet and shoulders but this was not a problem on this tour...

Not sure if this helps you at all.

It's a nice tour To go on

Thanks Cindy. That is fairly reassuring. Dry heat is not a problem for me it's humidity that is so bad.

I want to see Florence so much so I might well suck it and see. LOL

Hi

I am sure you will be fine in May - weather can vary a lot in May as it is still considered to be a Spring month. Also, the humidiy is always higher in the summer months.

Have a wonderful time if you decide to book and go.

Yeah that happened on Cilento Coast Jaya when it was cooler than I expected it to be. I have been away in Italy in the winter when it was warmer than it was there some days!

Thanks
