Hi, having seen other peoples thread on here regarding this being the last year the costa rica trip is running-to any one whose been on these trip, is september a good time to go and was it worth going? I was going to book the New England in the Fall trip, but hearing that costa rica may disappear im being swayed!

Any advice from fellow travellers would be gratefully received. Having only been on one short european trip - luxembourg, does the group stick together during the 'free to explore' parts of the trip and non included meals. I want to take the plunge, but had plumped on the US due to having been there before and they speak english , now i cant decide!

Help!

Thanks

Hi did Costa Rica in August last year, an amazing trip, as there were only 9 of us in the group we spent every evening together, and our excellent local guide Fabian took us to different places to eat. If you enjoy wildlife spotting this is a must.I was lucky enough to be there when the turtles come up on to the beach to lay eggs.

Hope this helps.

Hi Lucinda,

I've heard from a number of people that this is a wonderful trip, so I'd say - go for it! I've booked for South America for Sept, but if I'd have known the Costa Rica tour was going to be discontinued I would have booked it instead! I know someone who went a few months ago and she absolutely loved it. Sept will be the rainy season, but I gather the rainforest and scenery are a wonderful lush green at that time of year. If JY don't bring it back, I'll have to do the tour with Travelsphere (the sister company) further down the road as it is a tour I really want to do. Travelsphere also do a variation of it including Nicaragua (which sounds fascinating) and I think this is the tour I'd do - I also want to go during the dry season (Dec-March)! Hope your travel plans work out,

Bob

Thanks for the reply guys.

Bob, i have seen the travelsphere version and as you say their versions look good to. Ive travelled with travelsphere before with family and would feel nervous about going on my own on one of their holidays due to being left alone to explore parts of the holiday. As previously mentioned - travelsphere holidays with single traveller dates would be perfect to get the scope of holidays or i need to find a travel buddy!

Id probably rather go in the dry season, but as their now only going during rainy season, thats my only option if i go! If only work wasnt a factor!
