Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has booked to go on this trip (departing Oct 7th 2012) as I am considering currently considering it... Also, if anyone has been on this trip before and has any info they'd care to share, it'd be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Andy

p.s. what is the general age range of people on these types of trips? I'm 26 (or will be at the time of travel) and not entirely sure of what to expect... 🙂

Hello Andy

I went on this tour at the end of may and I loved it you will not be disappointed. The extra excursions are worth it.mi did them all apart from one. The hotel in Banff is lovely as is the one in jasper and Vancouver. The hotel in Kamloops is great for I night. There is lots of restaurants nearby for you to choose from. I was very lucky to see loads of wildlife. Our group saw two black bears at the side of the road, which was a big surprise. The glacier is an experience not to be missed either. If you are ok with heights do the helicopter flight. It was fantastic. I could rattle on for ages about this tour. When I got back I could not praise it enough. It was such an experience I will never forget.

Hi Andy

I will be going on this tour. It will be my first flight and big trip anywhere! To say I am a tad nervous is a understatement! Ages range from early 30s to mid 70s and most people are in their 40s and 50s. Don't be put off by the ages . I'm 41 but feel like a 30 something! It is my first just you trip. I'm not sure what to expect either, but it's a opportunity of a lifetime. And from testamonials the tour guide and coach driver are helpful and funny!

Hope this helps

Kind regards

Hi Andy

I got back from the June 10th trip yesterday and agree entirely with Caroline's comments above. Just book it - this is a fantastic tour full of stunning scenery and unforgettable experiences like the rafting, helicopter trip and the Vancouver North Shore option (which includes a walk over a suspension bridge and treetops walk!) to name a few! The vast majority of travellers on my group were 50+ which made me one of the younger ones but they were a great bunch and we all got on brilliantly so I wouldn't be too concerned re age.

Sue, the tour manager, and Jason (our driver) were informative and entertaining throughout a very memorable 11 days.

If you've any questions just ask.

Hope this helps.

Michael.

Hi Andy

I was on the June 10th trip with Michael and the rest of the gang as well ... you will absolutely love it! Amazing hols and awesome country! Can't wait to go back. Just You are excellent, I did nearly all the optional excursions, everything was really well organised and ran like clock work. We had so much fun along the way, it was my first time travelling alone and I can highly recommend it, no-one should have any worries whatsoever,, the scenery is just stunning and we saw lots of animals ... a Grizzly & her twin cubs, a Moose & her baby calf, 4 Black Bears including one cinnamon black bear, lots of Elk and even saw an Orca on the ferry ride back from Vancouver Island!

Hi Jill

It was nice to meet you on the trip. Have you dried out from the rafting yet? lol! I was gutted I missed the Orca on the ferry but I was queueing for food at the time. Yes I agree it was a fantastic trip, it was only my 2nd JY holiday but both have been well organised and very enjoyable.

Andy - just book it!

Louise - you can confidentally look forward to a superb holiday.

Michael.

Hi Michael

Great to meet you too ... yes just about dried out! Still not stopped laughing though 🙂 We had such fun didn't we, can't believe how much I enjoyed it.

We're you brave enough to go on the Rose Carousel in the end ?

This was my first JY holiday, the first holiday on my own as well and I have just booked my second !!! Loved Canada so much that I am doing the Canada & New England in the Fall trip on the 06 October ... can't wait!

Lucinda - I think the rafting was available to the end of September, have a look on their website www.jasperrafttours.com we were on the water for just over an hour, went about 10 miles down the river, really good value for money. I was really nervous before I went but it was such good fun, loved every minute!

Hi Jill

Yes we had a lot of fun and enjoyed some breathtaking trips, I definitely recommend this trip to anyone considering it. I did go on to the Carousel in the end, after tackling the rafting, helicopter trip and suspension bridge this was only a small challenge by comparison!

I'm pleased to hear you've booked your 2nd and not surprised you're going back to Canada! I've picked a shorter trip later in the year and am heading to Naples/Sorrento/Capri for my 3rd JY holiday. The hardest thing to do on these holidays is to book your first one (like you I was so nervous before my first trip) but on both trips I've had a great time. The organisation's been spot on and on both occasions the others in the group have been really friendly.

Happy travelling!

Michael.

Hi fellow travellers,

am going on this trip on October 7th flying from Manchester in the morning. Very much looking forward to it. It's been interesting to read the reviews so thanks for posting. I intend to try everything and look forward to meeting everyone and seeing everything. 3rd just you hol after going to France and Norweigian Fjords last 2 years.

I agree that age doesn't make any difference and have met really nice people of all ages. I'm 43 so expect i'll be at the younger end.

Cheerio,

Richard.
