I am a first time single traveller and have booked Istanbul on 6th September. Has anyone out there been on this trip? If you have any tips, suggestions and reports I would love to hear them.

I am feeling quite nervous but also very excited as I haven't had a holiday for many years. Anyone going on this trip? Would love to hear from you.

I am going on Istanbul City break on 6th September, flying from Birmingham. Also very nervous. Never been to Istanbul but been told its fantastic place so like you both nervous and excited. Where are you flying from?

I went on this holiday last year and it was most enjoyable. Weather was hot but I believe it can be variable. Hotel situated just a short-ish walk from the Grand Bazaar which is absolutely fascinating, I spent hours there. No particular suggestions - just enjoy!

I went on the Istanbul City Break in April; and thoroughly enjoyed it it was a wonderful trip.
