Hello!

I'm new, 29 and being a student in London. Very much don't want to go on singles backpacking holidays, which seem to be all that is available for people my age that don't have families and things.

So, have finally decided that just because none of my friends can't get time off work and my partner likes different things to me, doesn't mean I don't get a holiday once in a while.

I've had real problems finding holidays for singles that aren't... well.. holidays for singles! Just looking for some nice people to spend some time with for a few days so I don't have to eat dinner on my own, really.

These trips look ideal, but I am a bit nervous. Considering one of these discovery weekends in April... who's doing what?

I didn't do the discovery thing jumped straight in at the deep end with a holiday in the States, never regretted the decison.

Although I first went with JY because I was single after losing my partner I've since done holidays while in a relationship (GF couldn't get time off work) so would say just go for what takes your fancy.

Hi Sarah

I have just taken the plunge and booked my first holiday. I had quite a few doubts but after chatting to people on here and asking questions when I phoned up to book but you know what I can't wait to get on my trip now. My age was putting me off slightly only being 24 I was worried I would be the youngest but one chap said it is only a problem if I let it as it wouldn't be a problem to anyone else as everyone is so friendly. I have spent hours researching the trip I want to go on and asked loads of questions but everyone sounds so friendly that I decided to stop worrying and just go for it... Hope you take the plunge to

Hi Sarah, I am going on a discovery weekend this week in Bournemouth, I am using it as an experiment to see if I can go abroad on my own, as I used to go with my late husband and need to see if I can pluck the courage to go on my own.

Hi Sarah

Believe me, there is no need to be nervous or worry about age when going on a Just You holiday. Like Cindy, I went straight for a trip to Jordan and have no regrets at all. Since then I have been to Andalucia and am going to Costa de la Luz in May. You are very well looked after and everyone is friendly as they all are in the 'same boat'.

Happy travelling!

Jaya
