Having received the information about the Yangtze cruise ship, I notice there is the opportunity to upgrade. Personally, I don't feel the need but does anyone have any experience of either upgrading or not? Also, is anyone who is on the cruise going for an upgrade? Don't want to be the only one not doing it!

I did a similar trip with a different company 6 years ago and 2 groups decided to upgrade to better cabins - there was really no need. The basic cabins are adequate - the upgrades had lounge areas and better views but as we spent all our time on deck, on off-shore visits, or in the restaurant, we really did not spend much time in the cabins apart from sleeping. Better investing in toilet rolls as they were always in short supply - don't know if things have improved much or whether it is just a British fixation! Sue
