Hi Nige,
So sorry to hear that your trip was cancelled. I can understand how upset you are, especially after all the planning.
I suppose I have been lucky really inasmuch as I have only had one trip cancelled through lack of interest - in March last year when I was going to Northern Cyprus - and ended up going to China instead. I loved China and was so glad I went but if you had set your heart on the Israel & Holyland trip it must be hard for you.
I am sure you will be okay with the Travelsphere group and there may be other single travellers in the group. One of the other companies I travel with usually have just 4 'single' places on their tours - which is fine if you are 'outgoing' although some people may find it daunting. Might I suggest you have a word with the tour manager at the start of your trip and then he/she could perhaps make sure you don't feel 'left out' at all. I know this is an integral part of a Just You holiday.
Many people can only take their holidays at certain times of the year because of work commitments etc. - I have certain times when I need to be 'away from home' - so this makes planning difficult and limits choice. However, don't let this incident put you off travelling. I realise that 'early' or 'late' trips in the year may be cancelled through lack of people wanting to go then.
I hope you get over your disappointment and enjoy your holiday - and that goes for Lynne too.
Be happy,
Best wishes,
