Hi everyone,
Has anyone who has been on this trip before got any advice regarding what clothing etc to take? especially with regard to the Amazon add on.
Thanks,
Bridget
Hi Bridget,
I did this trip in September and it was just brilliant - I envy you! Comfortable, casual clothing was best, with the odd nice thing for evening! Good boots are essential, as lots of the sites visited have uneven ground and steep steps - including Machu Picchu. They are also needed at the Amazon which can be very muddy and slippery going down to the boats, although the guides will help you. Light, casual trousers and tee-shirts are best - preferably long-sleeved, to avoid the insects - and of course a good raincoat. It is very humid so a couple of changes are needed. Cold water showers only when I was there, but it was all a great adventure! Enjoy! Marie
