Hi Elaine

I've booked the heart of Alpine Europe trip for Sept 2012. Any feedback please?

Thanks

Hi Maria

Not Elaine but I hope you'll appreciate my feedback anyway! I did this holiday last September and throughly enjoyed it. There were so many highlights, from the beautiful village of Appenzell, the stunning Lake Constance and the cable car trip (which was extra at €16 but which simply must be done!) up the mountain and subsequent snowball fight at Diedamskopf! For me personally the favourite part was the train journey from Tiefencastel to St Moritz. The scenery both on the journey and when you get to St Moritz was simply breathtaking.

With regards to Feldkirk (where you'll stay) the hotel was friendly and comfortable but be wary of keeping the windows open at night as you may get bitten by mosquitos. The hotel provides entertainment most nights, if it's not to your taste the town centre is a €10 taxi journey away. Myself and two others tried this a couple of nights and felt perfectly safe in the town at night, Feldkirk has a number of bars all situated fairly close together. We personally found one which played UK 80s music all night and being in my 40s I loved it!

Hope this helps,

Michael.

Hi Ray

I hope you've decided to take the plunge, I was a little aprehensive but decided you only live once and I've always wanted to go to Italy. So I booked the Cilento Coast trip and I go June 24th quite excited and nervous but having read all the lovely replies on here I'm sure I will have a great time. Go on dive in feet first, what have you got to lose! :)

You are looked after from the time you arrive at the airport till the time you get back home and during the holiday. People are usually friendly on Just You holidays and mix in well - after all, we are all in the 'same boat'. Sincerely hope that you will find the courage to book a holiday and trust me, you will not look back.

Warm regards

Hey there and hello to everyone,

I am almost 59 (where did the time go) and have travelled a lot by myself but as a woman there are some places that I would really love to visit but think *Hmmm can I go there alone?* and thought that this would be a great place to start those holidays.

Would also be a good way of making new friends.

I have also spent most of my life living outside of the UK, in Gibraltar and 34 years in South Africa. I return to SA each year as I have a son and my grand children there.

Hello Ray

I am 52 and taking my first holiday alone in a few weeks. I'm a quiet person and find it hard to mix with new people so I am really nervous, but also looking forward to it and hoping it will be the start of a new me.

So have a look at the brochure and book something!

Dawn

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is a bit shy, especially at first when meeting new people. I'm 48 and have only been abroad once in the last twenty years - the rest of the time I go to Ireland to visit my mother.

I have to say that this site sounds really exciting when you see the places you can visit and I will take the plunge one day although I just don't know when at the moment. I wonder if they do holidays between Xmas and new year somewhere warm and sunny?

I'm also new to 'Just You', and after reading through the comments I feel confident and excited in booking my first holiday. Its reasuring to know that everyone is in the same position and seems so friendly.

I'm now just trying to decide which holiday to go for
