I have just done Lake Garda on June 21st and flying from Birmingham. We had a superb holiday. Few problems on our first day when we should have gone to Simione for the ferry to Garda, but a motorbike crash blocked the road. Had to go to next port and sail from there. Tremosine cliffhanger lunch was amazing and so worth doing as an extra. Verona was beautiful and then we went back next day for the opera at the Arena-spectacular. Venice was an experience. Managed to get a gondola ride cheaply - thanks Aideen- and she also managed to get us vouchers for a cake and pot of tea in St Marks Square- most expensive cup of tea ever. Did hear that one tourist was charged 15 euros for a coffee!!!!!

Watch Birmingham-one flight a day- 2 hours late due to engine problem, 2 hours from Malpensa so we arrived at 9pm, everyone else were well into their dinners.

All in all-a whole load of first times crossed off my list. Trying to decide where next!
