I had my first holiday with JY travelling to the America's Golden West last xmas/new year and had such an amazing time I am looking at another long haul this coming xmas. I am considering between the Spirit of India, The Wonder of China or Vietnam. They all look very interesting and tempting so I am wondering if there is anyone who has been to any of these and if so would they like to share their comments and any advice, to help me make a decision !! I did the Xmas/New Year trip to Vietnam last year. Everybody on the trip had a great time. The weather was fine, just the odd shower. We spent Xmas Eve on a boat in Ha Long Bay. The New Year celebrations in Ho Chi Minh city (Saigon) were in the square right outside our hotel. The people in Vietnam were very friendly and the countryside is beautiful. It's a country of contrasts. You can be in a modern city and just 20 minutes down the road people are ploughing a field using an ox and wooden plough.
