I did this trip last June and it was fantastic. Very tiring but most of these holidays are as so much is packed into them to ensure we see as much as we can. If you get a chance you should go to the Ballet and also a Russian folk night but do the folk night in St Petersburg not Moscow. It was extremely hot when we went, 34 degrees. Hopefully your guides with be Bernie (the main guide), Genardi (the Moscow guide) and Anya (the St Petersburg guide), I've probably mispelt their names. They were all fantastic as were the coach drivers.

Have a great holiday.

Hi,

Good choice.

I have done the Moscow & St. Petersburg trip too and Iris is right, it is amazing. Obviously a different culture but so interesting. I just know you will have a good time. There is so much to see and do on this trip - and Yes, do go on the optional evenings. I went to the circus.

The train journey from Moscow to St. Petersburg is enjoyable too, but then I like trains.

I know it seems like a long time to wait, but it will soon roll round.

Be happy,

Best wishes,

Lesley

Hi Iris,

Can you tell me which is the best currency to take to Russia. I have been told Dollars or Euros. It's getting close to trip so would like to sort out currency. Many thanks. Di

Hello there.

I have just booked this trip too.

I went to Egypt in September with Just Yours and it was excellent.

I'm hoping for the same in Russia.

See you in the departure lounge.

Janet

Hi Janet, great to hear from you. Really looking forward to meeting up.

I'm travelling down from Newcastle on the Thursday evening and staying at the Ibis. This is my 1st JY trip so any tips. Have you been told which currency is best to take. See you in May.

Diane.

Hi there.

Did you get any advice on appropriate currency?

When I went all the optional excursions needed to be paid in US dollars and everything else in Russian Rubles. There aren't any tea making facilities in the rooms so you will need to take your own if, like me, you like a cuppa first thing. Great holiday, hope you enjoy it.

Can you give me more info. please? What is the best currency to take over, would a prepayment card in Dollars be best to bring, as I don't like having too much cash on me? Are there plenty of ATM's to use? Thanks.
