Hello

I am booked on the above and wondered if anyone could advise with regards to currency and clothing. Is there a pool on the boat, and would swimwear be useful to take?

Any advice would be most welcome, especially from previous travellers.

Many thanks, vina

Hi

I have recently returned from a Nile Cruise and from what I saw most of the boats have a pool, (usually small tho), so I would certainly take swimwear....so nice to jump in the pool after some hot and dusty sightseeing! The preferred currency seemed to be the Egyptian Pound or the Euro. Do make sure you have lots and lots of small notes as tips are expected all the time. As for clothing...lightweight natural fibres would be good and do take some long trousers and long sleeved tops for evenings as the mosquitoes are a real pain.

Have a great time

I took this holiday 2 years ago and it was great! I can confirm Allexie's comments re clothing etc. When you arrive at the Egyptian airport, there is always a long queue for immigration etc. At the back of the hall are several banking booths which are very convenient for obtaining local currency at far better rates than in the UK.

Hi Vina,

I too have done a Nile Cruise - you will love it. So interesting and something you will never forget.

Make sure you go to Abu Simbel though - not to be missed!

Have a great holiday.

Be happy,

Best wishes,
