i have decided to have the yellow fever as well.

Not sure with cash.Probably best to take a mixture.I normally get mine at the post office. hopefully they will be able to reccomend what's best.

If you are planning to do the extra trips from Mombasa you will need cash to pay for them.I asked on the ask the rep bit and I was given the prices of the trips,so make sure you have enough if you want to do these.I am hoping to do them all.

Looking forward to meeting you all.

Is aanyone flying from manchester to heathrow?

Hi all I have decided to take cash & my credit cards for excursions,TIP.. if you do take your cards makesure you call them up to warn them you are going away otherwise they will freeze your card if you are using it abroad, they may think its been stolen!! ;0o

This is the reply i had from the editor Olly from the get to know your tour guide bit .

(Some excursions are already included in the price of your holiday but the following optional excursions are available. You'll need to pay in cash for any you choose to take.

Half-day tour of Mombasa, £33

Full-day Mombasa tour including lunch at Tamarind and Haller Park, £76

Full-day Mombasa tour followed by lunch and village tour at Ngomongo, £96

Dolphin Dhow, £79 (look for dolphins with the experts)

Please bear in mind that these tours will only operate if enough people want to do them, and that all prices quoted are subject to change. )

Hi Tee & Pat,

have been talking to some one who works in Kenya and he surgested to take Kenya shillings and trevellers cheques and going to take some sterling just in case, not to take any good jewelery and nothing to flash and not to stray from the tourist place's.

off to buy some cotton tee shirts etc tomorrow.

see you soon at LHR.Cannot wait now this snow is still coming down,3 weeks and 4 days to go.

Hi, anyone going to kenya on 4/3/09 ?

I,ve read that currency for here its best to take US$ and Euros and some pounds. Travellers cheques are difficult, apparently. Credit cards are accepted at the resort for shopping.

I was told there are approx 17 going on trip, so a smaller group than most "just You" hols. Had to have yellow fever jab 2 weeks ago £52. Its not compulsory though. Weather there is in the high 80,s just now. Mabes

Tee,yes, flying from h/row and plan to get there for 5pm. Its going to be Terminal 4. It will be quite a trudge to the executive suite so the earlier we all check in the sooner we will get to it. Dont forget a few bags of sweets for the kids in Kenya.

I contacted just you to confirm flight times so I can book my manchester flights. We set off at 7pm from Heathrow.

See you in executive lounge. Suggest having travel label on your inflight bag . it helps to recognise others on our trip.
