I will be working the day we leave as I only work about 15 mins from airport so will take my luggage to work and then go straight from there. Hopefully boss will be kind to me and let me leave around 4pm ish. Does anyone know where we're supposed to meet each other? I would be happy to meet up with anyone if we're early.

I'm taking layers of clothes as the forecast can be anything from a bit chilly to very hot.

I've heard that if you take a favourite piece of clothing they will copy it and make it for you very cheaply.

Does anyone know if there's internet connection in our rooms as I was thinking to take my laptop to enable me to communicate by Skype or Facebook with my family and friends?

Oh so many mysteries!!! But it's all part of the adventure.

I was on the Sept 1st tour and yes you have internet conection in your room in Beijing and in Xian. Not sure about Chengde though.

I had a fantastic holiday. You won't be disappointed.

I'm a little confused about the baggage allowance. Our final itiniery says we're allowed 30kg but when you go onto Air China Website it says 20kg. I rang Just You and a gentleman said it was 30kg but he didn't seem 100% sure. Does anyone know for sure? Also I beleive that our hand luggage is max 5kg but are we allowed a handbag in addition? Again the Just You gentleman said that the handbag should be able to fit inside our hand luggage bag. I'm taking my laptop bag so this would be a little difficult.

My housemate told me today that when her sister went to China a couple of months ago you could get your hair blow dryed/straightened for around 2 pounds and have a massage for less than a fiver which all sounds very reasonable and may be a Godsend after a long day sightseeing.
