Hello I am also going on the Golden West tour, I am going from Heathrow As I am from Dorset. And Manchester is a bit of a long way to go to get there.By the way I am Male and overweight and bald but pretty easygoing. Does anyone know what type of plane we will be flying in and whether there will be any films etc to help pass the journey. Must admit it (the holiday) does look ggod.

Nice to hear from someone else on this trip. You should get in touch with Robin, he is going from Heathrow. If you look in the brochure it says your flight is with United Airlines and if you go onto their website you can get the flight info. It looks as though it will be a Boeing 777 and you will get lunch and a snack. Not sure about films, but usually on long haul there are films even if not individual screens. Audrey

Hi have just returned from this trip which was amazing but very very hectic, lots of early mornings. Out at 4.30am for the Grand Canyon Trip which was excellent. Very hot day but was a little cooler on the river. San Francisco was lovely and would have liked to have spent more time there. Visiting Alcatraz in a must and can be booked online at www.alcatraz.cruises.com. Needless to say that Vegas was out of this world but once again would have liked more time. Very hot but the forecast for this week was to drop from the 90's to 70's with a little rain but the Stratosphere Hotel where we stayed was brilliant. Another thing, if you love roller coasters you must go on the ride at the New York New York Hotel, quite frightening although very exhilarating. Another brilliant visit was Universal Studios, amazing and, of course, the Rat Pack. You'll have a great time, enjoy.
