Hi Penny

I went on this holiday on 30 June and it was fantastic, the weather was hot in the 80s every day! The only downside was the hotel. It was right on a main road,a dual carriage way without the central reservation.I had a room on the front and the traffic noise was dreadful, going on till after midnight and starting again about 5am.The hotel DID NOT have airconditioning,so it was either put up with the noise with the window open or the heat with it closed. The front rooms all had the sun on them for most of the day.The back rooms faced a farm, which did smell at times! The hotel arranges all the trips and they changed the St.Moritz one to the sunday, the only shops open were gift shops and cafes. All the designer shops, and they were all there! were closed, perhaps that was a good thing! but it would have been nice to have a look round them. You can drink the water so there is no need to buy unless you want to.I have done 7 other ju holidays, which have all been long haul with 28 being the most on the holiday,so with 39 on this one, some people i hardly spoke to,but all in all it was a great holiday.Nearly forgot, you can use euros in all the countries, just ask before you buy anything.I did take just a few swiss francs though.Have a great time.

Hi Rose

Many thanks for your advice on this holiday. It's always nice to be pre-warned about potential pitfalls.I've read lots of positive stuff about the scenery etc. and I'm looking forward to all the variety that it promises.

Best wishes

Penny
