Hi Rosie

I have booked the trip to Jordan in September. Hope you have a great time. Would love to hear about the trip on your return - any tips would really be appreciated.

Have Fun.

hi,

Went to Jordan earlier in the year. Couple of tips take sturdy footwear for Petra, as there are some very dodgy areas under your feet. Be prepared for all the people there trying to sell things, it is mega annoying, but dont make eye contact and they will leave you alone, unless of course you want to buy. A lot of children selling as school is not compulsory, so found that quite hard as some are very young.

Finally, take a plug for the bath as hotels in Jordan do not have them!

Hi Debutante

Thanks for tips. This is my first solo trip and also my first time with Just You. Hopefully all will go well and it will be a great trip. Did you do the Dead Sea add-on?

Regards

I went to the Dead Sea as that was included as part of the tour, I did the Jordan/Egypt trip.

I imagined the Dead Sea to be still like a lake and was looking forward to going in the sea, however the waves were very high and the sea rough and it was only the experienced swimmers that went in. There is not much to do there, so unless you definitely want to go swimming I would not advise going.

Hi Debutante

I am not planning on going swimming as have never liked swimming in any sea, but decided to add it on to the trip for relaxing after the few hectic days. Might as well since may not get a chance to travel to Jordan again. I am thinking about doing the Nile Cruise some time in the future. I thought I will be fine on a river cruise as do not have 'sea legs'!
