Hi Gabe

The weather was superb, only had one day of rain. Take layers including hat, sandals, trainers and wet weather gear. It was colder in the South Island particularly at night. And dont forget sun cream! Decided not to do Fiji as didn't want to be away for longer than 20 days.

hi everyone, so sorry i have not replied before but they do not email you when someone posts, which is a shame.

I have not booked any add ons as cannot take anymore time off work and can't afford it. i have upgraded my flights though to premium economy.

those that have been before (or editor) how much spending money should we take eg per day and are there extra add ons as we go along ie excursions or additional sight seeing things on offer or is everything like that included. i need to budget so i do not want any surprises or miss out on something because i do not have enough money.

any tips for the 2 days in hong kong?

looking forward to meeting you.

if there are a few of us, maybe we could see if we could meet before march?

Hi Karen

I went in March/April 2010. You will need to decide your daily budget. I took cash, credit and bank card and budgeted for £100 a day. Only a few meals are included so you'll need extra money here, check your itinerary - huge portions too! Bear in mind that NZ is not cheap. On arrival in NZ our tour guide gave us a A4 page of extra excursions totalling approx 2000 NZ dollars. I did most of them as my motto was you go all that way you might as well and you can pay by credit card. As for Hong Kong, again have a look at your itinerary as few trips included. Kowloon Park is lovely. Enjoy.

thats great news Gabe. I am just going direct form Heathrow as i live in Cambridgeshire. make sure someone collects you when you land on the return trip as you will have been travelling for ages and may feel a bit rough to then drive home!

if you look on the 'ask the editor' page i have got a guide re prices for optional extras and daily food costs from Olly the editor which will be helpful for budget planning.

when you booked did they tell you how many people were booked on the holiday so far?
