NHS advises over 60s not to have the yellow fever jab 

Any thoughts from those who have been would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance 

I'm thinking about this trip also in October 2027. Still undecided, mostly around safety concerns, especially in Brazil. Hopefully, someone will have been on this tour and can advise.

Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm going on the Chilie/Argentina/Brazil trip at the end of March.

I've booked this trip for next October.  Having checked the Foreign Office health recommendations, I'm not going to have the Yellow Fever jab but I'm up to date with my Typhoid + Hep A vaccinations.  I did a very similar trip approx 15 years ago (not with JY) and felt quite safe in Rio - obviously if you have good jewellery etc it's probably not a good idea to wear it when out + about.
