Hi I am booked on the South Africa/Victoria Falls trip departing 12th November 2025 - anyone else booked?  Getting very close now!  Would love to hear from anyone else joining me.

Hi I am booked to go on that tour too, getting quite nervous now, I have done some cruises on my own but it's the first time I have done this sort of tour. Have you been on one before?

Hi  Have to say I am a little nervous too!!!   I have done lots of tours and cruises solo and met some lovely people, but South Africa and Safari is very much out of my comfort zone as far as destination!!!  It seemed like a good idea when I booked it many months ago!!!  Are you flying from Heathrow?

Nice to meet you, I am Susie. Yes I am flying on the Virgin flight from Heathrow. I was going to do the October tour but they tried to divert me via Dubai on a Emirates flight!! I have been to Kenya on safari many years ago but I am really looking forward to seeing the history of South Africa. It will be a new experience.

It will certainly be an experience seeing South Africa and I am looking forward to learning more about the history of the country. Friends have been to South Africa and have found it to be amazing.

Hi Susie Pleased to meet you and look forward to seeing you in the lounge at Heathrow.  When I originally booked, the flight was earlier in the evening with early arrival in Cape Town, but I see the flight time has changed with arrival around midday, which may be better.   I wouldn't have wanted to go via Dubai either - I believe Virgin are pretty good but it is many years since I have flown with them.  I believe South Africa is beautiful - my boss is from South Africa and she has assured me that I will love it - she is very envious of me visiting her homeland.  I am quite excited if a little nervous and I am sure it is going to be quite tiring.  I have never been on a safari so excited about that - hopefully not too many mozzies, although I am not overly prone to getting bitten, so fingers crossed!  I spoke to someone the other day who said that Victoria Falls is absolutely amazing and to take a hardy waterproof!

Sorry for repeating myself but I couldn't get any of my posts to appear so I had to contact them. I am not doing the extended trip to Victoria Falls, I had trouble getting that much time off work, it is a shame to miss it 😢 

I have to say that I have upgraded my flight so I can hopefully get a bit more sleep. I did the same last year and I was so glad that I did.

Hi Susie no problem.  Must admit I have upgraded to premium economy as it is a long overnight flight and will hopefully sleep otherwise i will be shattered.. Shame you couldn't do Victoria  Falls. Well, look forward to seeing you on the 12th.
