Hi,

've booked Thailand - Land of Smiles for November 30th 2025.  Anyone else going on this date from Heathrow?

Would also like to hear from any fellow travellers who have done this tour before, especially on what to pack as we will be staying in several hotels over the two weeks.

This will be my 4th tour with JY but we've always stayed put in one hotel so not really know what to pack as we will be lugging suitcases around to several hotels !

Hi Sab

I went on the same tour in 2022 and I found it useful using packing cubes when packing my case and only took out what I needed for the timthe stayed in Bangkok then Phitsanulok, Lampang, Chang Mai and the stay at the beach. Cotton or linen clothing is ideal for the heat. You won't need towels because they are supplied at each hotel. Don't forget insect repellant and sunscreen plus a hat when out in the sun. Good walking shoes, trainers or sandals.

Hi

I went to Thailand with JY in Nov 2022 and that was my first solo group holiday. I found using packing cubes was useful. You will be travelling by coach a lot of the time between destinations and take out what you need the night before you move on from hotel to hotel to wear in the morning. Take linen or cotton clothing, a hat is a must, pashmina to cover your shoulders when visiting a temple if wearing no sleeves and remember no shorts. You can dress casual in the day. You will have a great adventure. Don't forget Trainers for walking. Remember a travel plug suitable for Thailand.
