Hi, First time travelling solo with Just You. I'm going to south america on the 19th Nov 2024. Wandering if anyone else is going on this forum. Just getting my vaccinations sorted.  Yellow Fever it appears is a must when flying from the UK.

Hi Hayley,

I was just looking at that trip for next year. You mention getting vaccinations for yellow fever. Which other vaccinations do you need? Where did you find the information about the vaccinations?

Hey, I'm not going on this trip but have been to Brasil. It's a good idea to get vaccinated for dengue fever also. It's very common in Brasil. I will look at this trip as a possibility.

I’m also planning to revisit next year and do the same trip. I went to Argentina a couple of years ago, and it was an unforgettable experience. Though it was just a short period of time, I had a day tour through https://gowithguide.com/argentina  I want to go back, hopefully *finger crossed*

Besides the Yellow Fever vaccination, it’s a good idea to consider getting vaccinations for Hepatitis A and B, Typhoid, and Tetanus, depending on your travel plans. I found this information through the NHS Fit for Travel website and the CDC’s travel health section.

Hi im considering the trip for next year. Thetes a lot of conflicting advise out there! My research and using the Fit for Travel website states you don't need a yellow fever jab. Also nhs says that it's not advised for the over 60s. Have any of you upgraded? I was considering this as it's s long overnight trip. Any thoughts welcomed.

Have a fantastic trip Hayley. Ive just returned from Jordan my 4th holiday with Just You. Always a great group of like minded people.

Hello there

I did this trip a year ago and was a great holiday, Santiago was a great city, sadly we didnt get to Mendoza as the roads were closed due to snow.

Buenes Aries is a lovely city and the trip to the ranch was a must, wonderful horses and a brilliant BBQ - I didnt do the Tango show but most did and loved it. The only trip i didnt like was the Parana river.

Iguassu is spectacular - most of the group paid extra to see the falls from the Brazilian side as well as Agentinian side and around 8 of us piad extra for a boat trip on the river which was amazing.  Dont wear your sunday best there,  or your best shoes as you will get wet!!

Ours tour was a mix of ages from 30s - 80s - and just about everyone coped with it

@julie73344 The majority of the group were over 60 and had no issues

I also didnt have any jabs or vaccinations and was fine

Rio was busy, be vigilent and take a sun hat - I didnt and wished I had, it was so hot - and was there the weekend someone sadly died in a queue at a Taylor Swift concert

Rio, Statue of Christ and Sugarloaf mountain were amazing.

If you stay at the Hilton, say Hello to the lovely guy who sells great bags outside the hotel. He was fab, great smile and loved his bags!

I took a pre loaded travel card which did me for money

have fun! xx
