Hi this is for Vivian who posted a question yesterday. I am taking my walking boots and pole for Petra. Don't think we will need a waterproof! See you tomorrow. Julie

Hey Julie! I agree, unless the weather looks crazy, you might not need the waterproofs. Looking forward to hearing about your adventure! Safe travels!

How was it? I was thinking of only taking sturdy walking trainers but will pack a pole

Hi Dear,

Jordan is such a special place Petra alone feels like stepping into another world and Wadi Rums desert landscapes are unforgettable. Amman also has a great mix of history and modern spots like Rainbow Street for a relaxed evening. Just a tip keep an eye on local news and weather as flash floods or border updates can sometimes affect travel.Whats the part of Jordan you are most excited about Petra the desert or the cities?

Visiting Jordan early November 2025. Have done a fair bit of research and looking forward to it very much. Am a bit concerned

about the accessibility of the most important/dramatic sights in Petra. Lots of mention of 800+ steps and scary sounding

route to the Monastery and various other sites.  Do most visitors manage the hike or do some access via the 'back door' and

then negotiate the steps down, presumably then meeting those climbing up! Any pics I've seen make it look both very rugged

and sheer in places. Obviously I would be wearing proper walking boots but even so I find the prospect daunting.

Anyone from the London/Surrey/Sussex going? I'm from West Sussex?
