We have spoken to a member of the team who has been and they managed Petra in comfortable trainers, but if you wanted to take your boots for added comfort/sturdy walking than that is of course an option. But at least if you didn't want to be weighed down in your luggage you know you should be fine without. We hope you have a wonderful time in Jordan.
