I did this trip in March this year and felt safe all the time. This is a wonderful trip and I would encourage you to book it. You will find mine and Abbadave's reviews on the review section of this forum. We had an amazing time!

Hi- just to add, if you do opt for this trip research the weather conditions in advance wherever possible-  I did this trip in November 2016- unfortunately we got caught up in hurricane Otto- meant that much of the trip ( including Tortuguero) had to be cancelled/ rerouted- was a shame because CR is a beautiful country- we were lucky in Nicaragua- the weather improved and we had a very good local guide there also - made a difference. Of my dozen or so JY tours this was consequently the most disappointing

  Thank you.  I think I might give the Americas a miss with the current weather situation.  I will look at Europe or Asia for this year.
