I have just done this trip and, overall, it was very good but I must make these negative comments:
1. Flying to Phoenix via San Francisco adds several hours to the travel time.
2. Don't bother with the Planet Rock meal. It costs £40 for a very poor selection of main course and only one dessert on offer. If I was charged £15 for this meal I'd think I'd been robbed.
3. Too much time spent in Los Angeles traffic jams and we didn't get to look round San Diego.
Having been negative, I'm still pleased I went and overall it was well worth it.
