My last holiday was very enjoyable as usual.

But I have 2 questions why does the recent brochure not have a page detailing which holidays are flying from which airports, as it used to?

Also why are there so few flights from Birmingham, a large and central airport?

We decided to take out the individual holidays, because we actually have local flights become available or unavailable constantly, depending on the airlines, so we didn't want customers to see a tour that didn't fly from their local airport in the brochure, when in fact a flight had become available since the brochure was sent out...if that makes sense?

We have a number of flights from Birmingham, and we'd ask you to give us a call if there's a trip you're interested in that doesn't list it as flying from Birmingham in the brochure, because if there is a flight available at the time of booking, we can request a seat from the airline.

We are sometimes limited in terms of what airlines can offer us, which is why our Make Your Own Way option is also great, because if you find a local flight that we can't offer (for whatever reason), then you can book it and meet us there, if that's something you would like to do.

We can also offer connecting flights, if a local one isn't available. So there are lots of options and we'd always ask you to give us a call so we can look at everything available and find the best option for you.

Probably silly question but I’ll risk it.  If we book travel individually are we covered by ATOL please?

Don't think you are covered for the private booking, only the bit here you join JY. No doubt Vicki will correct me!

How can we possibly be covered by Just You (or G Tourings) ATOL if we book our own flights?  Surely we would only be covered by your ATOL if we book the flights through Just You.

Sorry for the confusion Vicki.  I meant that if regional flights to London are booked privately then the ATOL only kicks in when the JY tour is joined.

Thanks for the response but I still think it would give some idea of what was available. Also if we make our own flight arrangements would there be anyone to meet us at the arrival airport, and how do we then get to the hotel, pay for taxis or what, which would add extra costs onto the holiday.

Thank you for this feedback, I've passed this to the team so they are aware of yours and other customers comments, but at the moment I don't believe there are any plans to add these back into the brochure.

If you choose to Make Your Own Way then you would not be met by a rep at the airport, and you would need to arrange your own transfers from the airport to your hotel. Yes, this would be an extra cost but of course we do take the cost of the flight and transfers arranged by us off your trip, if you choose this option 🙂
