Hi

I've just been checking my most recent invoice for this holiday ( starting 11th Feb) against the itinerary in the brochure.  One day 5 we are supposed to have some visits in the morning and then fly back to Santiago in the afternoon.  But on the latest invoice it says the flight is at 07.19 with a full day to spend in Santiago.  Is this really the schedule?

It would be disappointing to fly upon to Calama for just a day and a half when the available time for sightseeing on Day 3 is also quite limited.  Plus I really wanted to see Geysers on Day 5.  I am hoping the flight time is incorrect?

Thanks

Janet

Hi Janet,

Apologies, it looks like you were accidentally sent an invoice with the wrong flight time on it.

We will send you a new invoice showing the correct time, which is 16.22 - so plenty of time for sightseeing.

I hope that helps!

Many thanks,

Vickie

Hi Janet,

I did this tour in 2017 and it was stunning, easily my favourite holiday to date!  Please be aware that LATAM are notorious for changing flight times, delaying and cancelling flights etc. so don't be surprised if the itinerary needs to be amended once you are there.  Our flight to Calama was cancelled, so we left on the next flight and consequently missed some of the sightseeing.  Our TM did his very best to ensure that we still saw the best of the region (including the geysers at 14,200ft).  Similarly, the winds were so strong in Patagonia (we were literally blown over at times!) that we didn't get to see the glaciers, as the Chilean Navy had closed off the area for the day.  Instead we visited a sheep estancia and had a fantastic bbq lamb lunch (with free-flowing wine) and a tour of the ranch.  We were having such a brilliant time that no one minded!  I'm sure you will have a fantastic trip, but be prepared to "go with the flow!"

All the best,

Bob

i really enjoyed that day at the Ranch, lunch was great and that's coming from one of the fussiest eaters of all time, ho ho, not being much of a wine drinker but i must say i enjoyed having a few glasses of Chilean rose or whatever it was, i was rather tiddly after 4 or 5 glasses ho ho

great tour from start to finish and despite that flight suddenly being cancelled to Calama we did make the sunset and caught up with the rest the next morning, those winds at the waterfalls i will never forget as well as the ones at the iceberg and all over Patagonia

my No1 Tour

Thanks Vickie - I'm reassured so that's great.

Thanks Bob & Dave - I read your reviews before I booked so it's partly your enthusiasm that helped me choose this trip ( although there are still another 10 at least on my wish list).  I think we have Patrick as our TM according to his website so that's good as well according to everyone else's comments.  I am tracking the weather which looks good at present - it's often that windy where I live so I know what to plan for.

Anyone else out there on the 11th Feb trip?  If so see you at Heathrow and lets hope we all have a great time!

Hi Vickie. I am doing this trip in October. Hope the bookings are going well for this trip? Can you let me know how many people are booked? As above ages, gender. I am not booked for add on due to work commitments. Another time?

Hi Wensco,

We have 9 people booked so far, and this is a popular trip so I'm sure we will have more to come. It's all ladies at the moment, and their ages range from early 50s to early 70s.

Definitely another time! 🙂

Many thanks,

Vickie
