I have just downloaded the visa form so I can complete it ahead of arrival. It seems I need the name of a contact in Laos  for the duration of my stay. I assume JY has a local agent there, so could you give me contact details please.

Hi Sarah. Dateline Laos. Arrived in Laos yesterday on Untold Cambodia tour.

When you arrive you go to the visa on arrival window and hand in your form and photo. They did not seem at all fussed about the size of the photo. They send you to the next window where you pay your fee of $36 - fee $35 plus $1 handling fee. By the time you get to the final window then everything has been processed. They stick a nice new visa in your passport, stamp the passport, and off you go to baggage reclaim. Happy travels.

Ian

Thank you Ian.

Did you get your Cambodia visa on arrival or before you went?

How is the tour so far? Hope you are having a great time.

Please write a review and pass on any hints and tips when you get back. I am really  looking forward to my trip.

Hi Sarah. I am nominated review writer for a lovely bunch of people who are undertaking serious research to ensure that the liquid refreshment is fit for human consumption! LOL. But seriously this is a lovely part of the world and we are a group of 18 (9 on the main and 9 on the add on) who are having a very good time. A coup,e of early starts - One for sunrise at Angkor Wat and tomorrow for alms giving for the local monks so it may be mid afternoon in the UK but it is bedtime here. Ian.

Hi Sarah.

The advice from JY is to get the Cambodian visa before leaving UK but it is very simple & quick to do on line. Trip is amazing. Last day for main tour & so sad to leave. Laos is a revelation & a delight. Bring plenty of money, the markets are very seductive & cheap
