Good morning Mildred.

I'd be interested to know what the age range is on the above trip please, and the male/female ratio.

Thank you.

Good Afternoon Bosuncat,

There are currently 20 travellers booked on this tour and the group is made up of 5 men and 15 women.

The age ranges from early-50s to early-80s.

Kind Regards,

Mildred

Thank you Mildred.  I am guessing a good half of those will be from regional airports, and because the TM will be travelling from Gatwick on the far later flight with the travellers from there.  (I am guessing it is down to JY not being able to get a group booking on the earlier flight from Gatwick), as I have already indicated, this will leave the regional arrivals with no support at the hotel for the greater part of the first day.  Unless of course a local rep will be at the hotel to sort any potential problems out, which I doubt.  It's such a shame, and goes totally contrary to what I was told by Customer Services, that the TM would already be at the hotel or the airport to meet all arrivals.

I have been a little disappointed by the final information I have been sent (very scanty, compared with previous years), but I have noted the following "The Tour Manager will meet you either at the arrival airport or the resort".  This doesn't seem to be the case does it?

I have also noted that JY have removed information pertaining to a rep being at every airport pre departure.  I have never had this happen at any regional departure airport, so perhaps it was best to remove it.  A question though?  I bet there will be  a rep at Gatwick.  So why is it totally necessary for the TM to fly out with the party from Gatwick, when it would be far better for them to be already in situ at the resort?

Hi Bosuncat,

I will of course be passing your information on to our team as it is constructive feedback - I'm just waiting to find out whether or not the local representative that will meet you at the airport will be around until the Tour Manager arrives.

We do have a representative at all airports, we know that sometimes they are missed (sometimes when they are helping other travellers or if a traveller turns up more than so many hours early they may not be there), I'm not sure why it has come off the final documentation - I am aware that we have recently moved systems and it may be a mistake.

In terms of why the Tour manager doesn't meet travellers in resort - sometimes they do if they are operating back to back tours, however, sometimes that tour manager may be flying out from one destination and into another - often via london so they pick up the tour with the main group.

I hope this goes some way to explaining.

Kindest regards,

Julia

This is a bit of a concern for me as a "newbie" as thought I was going to b well looked after considering I am going it "alone",, regards Janice

Thank you Julia for giving me a  fuller, and more constructive reply.  I would be grateful if you could get back to me if you get any answer on the local rep, as I still feel it would be useful to have someone at the hotel to help with any potential problems.  I believe that the East Midlands group, (of which I am one) are the last regional departures to arrive, but there are regional passengers arriving from about 9.30am, hence my concern for them if they have no one to refer to.

Thank you again.
