A few queries to anyone who has been before/ or knows the answers...!

1) Will ordinary European plug adapters work there?

2) Are there mozzies at this time of year?

3) Does anyone know the best way to make a phone call back to the UK?

The electricity supply is similar to the rest of Europe and 2-round pin sockets will be necessary. It is unlikely that there will be any mosquitos as they usually appear in the warmer (spring) months and are more active close to open water. However, you may want to take a deet based repellent so you are adequately prepared.

In regards to telephone calls, I would recommend speaking to your network provider for your mobile phone. They will be able to talk you through the best options for cheaper calls back to the UK. There is the option of calling via the internet i.e. Skype, which is free to use when you're connected to the internet.
