Hi Julia, I am thinking of booking the Peru Highlights tour and was wondering if you can tell me which train specifically from Cuzco to Macchu Picchu? Is it the vistadrome or the expedition train from Perurail or one from the other two carriers? Also, I would like further details about the transport to Puno. is it by bus or train? Do we ever have to go on public buses or is it tour buses specifically for our group? are all the people in our group Justyou customers? also, are they all single travellers or do friends/partners book your tours too? what percentage are single travellers and what's the ratio men to women?
I would appreciate a more thorough journey plan - what time in the mornings do we leave for the next place and what time do we arrive in new places? How long does it get to the new places? In other words, how long are we sitting on buses/trains for? Approximate timings would be useful, thanks.
I have read somewhere that in the wet season (which March still is) the train to the town near Macchu Picchu sometimes cannot go all the way (due to landslides, etc.), but half of the journey might be by bus. How often is this the case in March?
I would be coming from Glasgow and was wondering if all the other people on the tour would be from there or do they join up from all over UK? How many people on average are there on each tour? Apologies for all the questions, but I need to ensure I am happy with all details before proceeding to book. Many thanks in advance. Jan
