Hi

Could you tell me the numbers booked for the April and May trips to Cuba please.

Also the trip is described as having rough ground, steps and gradients. Think this is "JY coding" as I notice it being used on other tours as well. Presumably the rough ground is to do with the cobbles. However, steps and gradients? Any further information you have would be useful as I notice other trips have "not suitable for anyone with limited mobility" etc.

Thanks

Hi Wharole,

For the Cuba - Salsa, Cigars & Classic Cars tour, at the moment there are 9 travellers booked on the April date (and this has been cleared to operate) and there are 4 travellers booked on the May date.

In terms of the comment, I have spoken with holiday creator on this trip and he has mentioned that this is guidance. There are no "hikes" but there are a few times when you will be walking on tours of towns and there may be steps, or a little rough under foot (such as cobbles).

I hope this helps.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hi,

I did this tour in March - albeit with Travelsphere but it is the same route.

As Julia says there are no "hikes" but in the towns, then after years of embargo, you will find a few gaps where paving stones used to be but in all towns everything is fairly well on the level.

Away from towns then the two main walks we had (optional) were the botanical gardens which again are fairly level and at Los Jasmines there was the opportunity for a morning walk in the Vinales valley. An incline down & back but nothing anyone with average fitness & mobility could do. Well worth doing in my opinion.

Sensible footwear such as trainers would be more than sufficient.

Thank you to you both for the information and I have now booked. Want to see Cuba before it changes as suspect it will in the coming years! That is my 2015 holiday sorted and hopefully in 2016 I can consider a safari venture.
