I was just wondering if there was any news on trips to Egypt?

I went on the Pyramids &Nile cruise back in 2010 & would very much like to go on it again.

Sorry for the delay on this - I wanted the most up to date information from Will as he is our chief holiday creator.

At the moment the team are constantly watching the situation in Egypt but people are still quite reluctant to book a holiday to this destination. The team will be offering this trip again in the future when they feel there is enough demand so that we wouldn't have to cancel dates due to insufficient bookings.

I too would like to do this tour when it is available - especially with the Sharm el Sheikh add on. I was disappointed when I had to cancel last year, but am very positive that I will be able to go in the future when the situation improves. Steve, hopefully meet you on this tour!

Jaya, I hope to do this tour one day with JY, but hubby is not keen on me travelling to this part of the world so I might not get there. I did go to Egypt this March with him but we won't be going again.

Hopefully the situation in Egypt will improve and it will be safe enough to travel as I really want to do the Nile Cruise. I love sightseeing and there is so much to see there. I have been to Cairo years ago - it was more or less a day trip as did a mini cruise from Cyprus so have seen the Pyramids and a bit of the museum. Would have loved to spend a bit more time in the museum, but it was so crowded that you were moved on without having a chance to really look at the exhibits. Hopefully if things improve then you will feel brave enough to do this tour. Who knows we may both end up doing it on the same dates!

I do recommend the Nile cruise, done it twice once with Travelsphere so much to see along the banks of the nile from the boat alone and the excursions most of which are included are superb, would def do this again, I'm sure this will become available again in due course and who knows there may be bargains to be had

Egypt is still in the Travelsphere brochure and it looks as if there are a couple of departures this year in September and November.

Dave, I also did the tour with Travelsphere--April 2006. Had fantastic time.

Tour manager Suzanne Brown was terrific, went above and beyond call of duty.

If anyone is really keen still on Egypt, check with Travelsphere and ask if there are any other solo bookings if one doesn't want to travel with all couples.

Julia, hopefully you don;t mind me recommending Travelsphere as it is your sister company.

I don't mind at all! I try to be a little impartial on the boards as this is a forum for our customers to share their hints, tips and experiences and not somewhere for me to bombard you with sales messages.

But, as you have bought it up, if there are people who are thinking of using Travelsphere, it uses the same system as Just You so I can let travellers know who the TM is, whether there are others who have booked as a solo traveller, groups size, etc - just ask!

I do prefer holidays with Just You but I do go on some Travelsphere trips-Peru booked with them for September but have just returned from Slovenia with JY.
