Hello, My first JY trip us fast approaching , I,m on the Vietnam & Cambodia trip on 26th Feb, I,m trying to gather as much info as possible before I go, and I,m wondering if you could answer some of my queries ,

I,m planning on using the internet to keep in touch with friends and family while I,m away, will the hotels have Wi Fi either free or payable,

I have paid for additional trips in advance, can you give any idea how much money I should I take for any other expenses and daily requirements. Also what is the best way to take money,

As for injections and immunizations, are there any that you would strongly advise given the areas that we will visit...

Many Thanks for any info.

Hello John,

What a great trip to pick for your first Just You outing....

WiFi in hotels - I'm getting this double checked with our overseas services team to ensure that I give you the correct information for all of the hotels you will be using. I will post again as soon as I have a response.

The good news is that many of your meals are included; for the main tour you get 10 breakfasts, 5 lunches and 7 dinners, and the Cambodia add-on is full board. In Vietnam we recommend that you allow approximately 20USD for day-to-day living (30USD for Cambodia) which will buy you lunch and dinner at good local restaurants as well as refreshments during the day. If you take the local transport such as taxis and cyclos this should cost no more than 5USD. High end restaurants will cost more and the price of alcohol varies with wine being quite expensive. On top of that you only need to think about budgeting for souvenirs. In terms of how to take money, US Dollars is the most favoured foreign currency (smaller denominations for Cambodia). When you exchange your money you’ll need to produce a copy of your passport so it’s important to bring a photocopy of your passport with you. Once your money has been exchanged you’ll receive a receipt. Keep this with you in case you need to change money back before you leave.

At the moment there are no compulsory vaccinations for travel to Vietnam or Cambodia. However, we would advise that you consult with your GP who will be able to make an assessment based on your own medical history.

Kindest regards,

Julia
