Just wanted to suggest that you might consider a holiday to Holland and Belgium using Sluis as the base. We visited it recently on a trip to Bruges. It is a delightful little town with many restaurants to explore and safe walking areas to wander during free time and there must be a reasonably priced hotel central to the town. Perhaps better than being based in a hotel miles out of town????
